Easter in Darien, CT at the Center Street Pub

I played the harp & sang yesterday for Easter Sunday brunch at The Center Street Public House in Darien, CT, which was great fun. Everyone who works there is so nice, and the crowd was really appreciative and friendly. They’ve only been open about 8 months so far. They’re 5 minutes from Stamford, where my sister lives, so she and her boyfriend came over and I brought my mom with me from NYC, too, so the four of us had brunch — and it was fantastic! Really good food. And good dessert, too – a Guinness chocolate cake, wow. I should have gotten a picture of the cake, but it mysteriously disappeared before I thought to grab my camera.
I played and sang all sorts or Irish and Celtic tunes, along with some King Harvest, Neil Young, and John Legend thrown in. And I ended with a special request for Phantom of the Opera — I called the lyrics up on my iPhone and played and sang it for the first time ever – always fun to end with something slightly dare-devilish!
Here are some photos of my harp in its cozy spot by the fireplace…
and here you can see my mom, my sister Heather, and her boyfriend Ryan at their ringside seat —
